The legal issue that was raised on appeal in regards to the defense in Carl Coppolino’s Florida murder trial is that whether if the results of the test that is new is widely acceptable in regards to the scientific community as it is necessary for it to be considered as evidence. The court ruling that is relevant to the decision to reject the appeal is during the time where the court appeals of arguing that there should be a general acceptance in regards to the statement in Frye vs the United States by which is considered as not an absolute prerequisite in regards to the admissibility of the scientific evidence.
