a store sells only black and blue pens. the store sold 300 black pens last week. this was 2/5 of the number of pens sold. how many blue pens were sold?

$300 \div 2 = 150 \\ 150 \times 5 = 750 \\ 750 - 300 = 450$
There ware 450 blue pens sold.
