The major fall of the "Articles of Confederation" was the fact of being weak. The government (federal), under it, was way to weak to even make any laws and therefore had nothing and had no power. The "Continental Congress" had use some money to fight in the Revolutionary War and could not repay their debts of the destruction they caused in the war.

Your answer would be: Because of these weakness’s as a result we came up with a new plan of government.Federal government could no longer tax people or make trade treaties. But to help this we created 3 branches of federal government with each one having a duty.
