Plate Techtonics
Plate Techtonics is the scientific study which states that the outer shell of the Earth is divided into several plates drifting over the mantle. This scientific theory also describes the plates move and interact that create many of the planet surface’s large features such as mountains.
The study of tectonic plate show that earth's surface comprises large plates which float on the top of underlying layer of the molten rock.
The study has shown that the surface of earth is made up of huge plates and those plates float on the molten rock. Due to the movement of those plates there is collision of nearby plates and several features on the surface of earth is affected by this.
The mountains and hills formation is affected by this tectonic activity. Volcanic eruption and earthquake are the result of tectonic activities. This effect can be seen mainly at the ring of fire area.
