The type III PFD is a flotation aid which is useful in the calm waters of inland. This type of PFD is used when the chances of quick rescue are high somewhere. This flotation device turns up the wearer in a face up position, but it should be noted that an unconscious person will turn up with his face up with this aid. The tilting of the head is necessary, in order to avoid the turning of the face downwards towards the water. The minimum buoyancy of this flotation aid is similar to the type II one. When one enters the water, they get inflated automatically.
