I know this is probably super easy but I just can't remember the process on how to figure this out.

$8-x=2x-1\ \ \ \ |-8\\\\-x=2x-9\ \ \ |-2x\\\\-3x=-9\ \ \ \ |:(-3)\\\\\boxed{x=3}$

1) subtract 8 from both sides

2) subtract 2x from both sides

3) divide both sides by (-3)
