a person is trying to lift a crate that has mass of 15.3 kg. the normal force of the floor is currently supplying 150 N force. how much force does the person need to supply in order to pick up the crate

Respuesta :

here the floor exerts a force of 150 N on the block

So when block is placed on the floor at rest then at that position we can say

Normal force on the block is counterbalanced by weight of the block

So weight of the block is given same as that of normal force which is 150 N

now in order to pull the crate upwards we require minimum force which is same as that of weight of the crate

So here our answer must be same as that of normal force

So our applied force to pick the crate up is 150 N upwards
