This is dependent on the particular book you're using; some authors define isosceles as having exactly two equal sides, some at least two equal sides.

Guessing about your book,

Answer: TRUE

Isosceles triangle means triangle having two equal sides.

While Equilateral triangle means triangle having all three equal sides.

It is possible sometimes that for some isosceles triangle, third side is also equal to other sides.

In that case we can say that Some isosceles triangles are equilateral .

Hence "TRUE" is the correct answer.
