A translation is when something is moved from one spot to another. That means it's shifted a certain number of units.

So for translation T, I would first figure out how much the coordinates each changed from the original to the image. The original is P(2, -4) and the image is P'(-3, 6).

If you see how it moved, the original was shifted 5 units to the left, and 10 units up, as the x coordinate was reduced (to the left) and the y was increased (up). So, to have (7, 2) undergo translation T, you just have to subtract 5 from the X coordinate, and add 10 to the Y. That would make it (2, 12).

Since you're only looking for the number that goes in the green box, your answer would be 2.
