First of all can we take a look and see if the angles are on the inside or outside the two parallel lines. In this example, Angle 3 and angle 6 are both on the inside the parallel lines which means that they are interior angles. This means that we can cross out C since that alternative says exterior angles. We can also cross out B since both lines are interior angles. If they would have been corresponding angles, one angle would be an interior angle and the other one exterior on the same side of the transversal (which they are not)

The next thing we should look at is if they are on the same side or alternate side of the transversal line. In this example, they are on alternate sides of the transversal line. Since they are on alternate sides, we can cross out D

This means that the answer needs to be A, alternate interior angles

Hello!

As angles 3 and 6 are on opposite sides, they are alternate. As they are in between the parallel lines, they are interior angles.

Therefore, our answer is A) Alternate interior angles.

I hope this helps!
