We use the following fundamental definition from Probability and Set Theory.

[tex] p(S U T)=P(S)+P(T)-P(S and T) [/tex]

[tex] P(S and T) =0 because they are mutually exclusive [/tex]

[tex] P(S U T)=6/11+1/10=71/110 [/tex]
