Use conversion factors that put the units you want in place of the units you have, and that cancel the unwanted units you have. You have ft in the numerator and you want inches there, so you use a conversion factor with inches in the numerator and feet in the denominator. The value of the conversion factor must be 1, so the you will have equivalent numbers of feet and inches in the fraction: (12 in)/(1 ft).

Likewise, you have hours in the denominator and you want minutes there. You will use a conversion factor with hours in the numerator and minutes in the denominator. Again, its value is 1, so equivalent time periods must be used: (1 hr)/(60 min).

[tex]\dfrac{52.68\,ft}{hr}\cdot \dfrac{12\,in}{1\,ft}\cdot \dfrac{1\,hr}{60\,min}=10.536\frac{in}{min}[/tex]
