Geometry. Help me please ; find y round to the nearest tenth. provide a clear answer and explanation if possible

The only way this problem derives from the last is that it asks you to find the angle that you need to use to find y. The unknown angle in the top corner can be found by subtracting 31 from 90.
The rest is handwritten work. The answer is y =~ 240.3 ft.
By transversals of parallels blah blah y is opposite a 31 degree angle and 400 feet is adjacent to that same angle:
[tex]\tan 31^\circ = \dfrac{y}{400}[/tex]
[tex]y = 400 \tan 31^\circ \approx 240.3 \textrm{ ft}[/tex]
Answer: 240.3
