6x-9-2+2x = x-9 | -x
7x -11 = -9
7x = -9+11
7x = 2
x = 2/7

6x-9-2+2x=x-9
Let's add like terms.

8x-11=x-9
Let's subtract x from both sides.
7x-11=-9
Let's add 11 to both sides.
7x=2
