Hi there!

First we need to remember the following.
[tex](f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)[/tex]

Now substitute both of the formulas.
[tex](f + g)(x) = ({3}^{x} + 10x)+ (4x - 2)[/tex]

Work out the parenthesis.
[tex](f + g)(x) = {3}^{x} + 10x + 4x - 2[/tex]

And finally collect terms.
[tex](f + g)(x) = {3}^{x} + 14x - 2[/tex]

~ Hope this helps you!
Hi there!

(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)

(f + g)(x) = (3ˣ + 10x) + (4x - 2)

(f + g)(x) = 3ˣ + 10x + 4x - 2

(f + g)(x) = 3ˣ + 14x - 2

~ Hope it helps!
