Explain where the electron comes from and how it gains energy during the light reactions.

The electron comes from the chlorophyll molecules when it is excited by energy from sun light during the light dependent reaction.The energy from the light is now trapped in the kinetic chemical energy of the electron as it moves down the electron transport chain.
