The mitochondria converts chemical energy from food into ATP, is enclosed by two membranes (the inner and outer membrane) and has a folded inner membrane called cristae. Though it is not responsible for protein synthesis, the chromosomes are in charge of that and off of what I found it does not store lipids and steroids. That's all I can do to help you on this one.
