Hippies organized anti-Vietnam war protests ,sit-ins and marches, burned draft cards, and organized relief for those affected by the war.
The hippies sharply contrasted the convention norms of the time. They were in the forefront to oppose the Vietnam in the 1960's in a time that the majority of Americans were continuously approving the war.
