John Richard Simplot (1909-2008) is the responsible for developing the first commercial frozen French Fry, which he started distributed at the age of 20 (1929), in his newly founded Company The J. R. Simplot Company in Idaho.
With his entrepreneurship, Simplot revolutionized the fast food industry: big companies were now able to storage French fries for a long time while keeping their flavors.
