Answer: one third

Glycogen is a stored form of glucose found in the  muscle tissue and the liver. Glycogen’s concentration is higher in the liver than in muscle (10% versus 2%by weight). The glycogen  derived from the liver is the primary source of blood glucose used by the rest of the body for fuel. The average person holds about 1,500-2,000 calories of stored glycogen, one third of which is found in the liver.
