This would be known as a hypothesis.

In the academic world, this is an educated guess as to why something happens. From there, individuals will conduct research and experiments in order to test out this hypothesis. Their claims will often be written in the introduction so that readers know what they are going to discuss. This claim is known as a thesis.

An “educated guess” as to what causes an observed phenomenon is known as a hypothesis. Furthermore, A hypothesis (plural hypotheses) is a suggested description for a phenomenon.

EXPLANATION:

People refer to a try-out resolution to a problem as a hypothesis, usually named as "educated guess" because it delivers a suggested conclusion based on the proof. However, some scholars refuse the term "educated guess" as improper. Scholars may test and refuse several hypotheses before answering the problem. According to Schick and Vaughn, scholars are considering alternative hypotheses into consideration:

• Testability (contrast falsifiability)

• Parsimony (as in the implementation of "Occam's razor", rejecting the speculation of extreme entities numbers)

• Scope – the obvious implementation of the hypothesis to several cases of phenomena

• Fruitfulness – the vision that a hypothesis may clarify further phenomena in the future

• Conservatism – the extent of "fit" with present documented knowledge-systems.

In scientific research, if it involves research in biology, psychology, or some other areas, a hypothesis embodies what the scholars think will occur in an experiment.

The scientific method involves the following steps:

1. Forming a question

2. Performing background research

3. Creating a hypothesis

4. Designing an experiment

5. Collecting data

6. Analyzing the results

7. Drawing conclusions

8. Communicating the results

The hypothesis is what the scholars have predicted the correlation between two or more variables, but it includes more than just a guess. Usually, the hypothesis starts with a question that is then discovered through the background of the study. It is just at this idea that scholars begin to advance a testable hypothesis.
