The women movement impact was felt in the 1980's when around 40% of women had already joined the workforce in USA and several western countries. In addition, several women had already been enrolled into college.

Some of the achievements that women have achieved as a result of the struggle for equal rights are:
- Dress with freedom: There was a change in the representation of the female figure ( not only men could wear pants, but also women began to cut their hair, to walk alone, etc).
- Voting: Refers to the right to vote exercised by women and therefore the political and constitutional right to vote for elected public office as well as to be voted.
- Participate in the armed forces.
- Manage their own assets in marriage.
- Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women, a key instrument of the United Nations in the protection of women s rights.
- Right to work.
- Education rights.
