Why has the U.S. government respond slowly to climate change issues, such as global warming?

Because the U.S doesn't really know how to fix the problem, and they're not totally on board with the whole idea of global warming. Plus, it takes effort from all over the world, not just the U.S.

This is unbiased, even though it may seem like it actually is biased, but our current president does not believe in climate change, neither does his cabinet. Rick Perry who is known to think global warming and similar issues are a hoax is currently Secretary of Energy which doesn’t help anything
