The answer is roughly -.65 when rounded to the hundredth place. 

If we plug -2 into the equation we get the following. 

f(x) = -[tex] \sqrt{7} [/tex] - (-2)
f(x) = -[tex] \sqrt{7} [/tex] + 2
f(x) = -2.65 + 2
f(x) = -.65
