Find the height of a triangular prism with a base length of 10 yards, a base height of 20 yards, and a volume of 600 cubic yards. I know it’s 6 yards but how do I find it

Respuesta :

The volume of the triangular prism is the Area of the base times the height
the area of the base is:
[tex]\frac{ab}{2}[/tex]
and the volume is:
[tex]V=(\frac{ba}{2})h[/tex]

now b=10 yards,  a=20 yards, and V=600 yards^3
we clean the height

[tex]h=\frac{2V}{ab}=\frac{2\cdot 600}{10\cdot 20} = 6 [/tex]

the answer is height = 6 yards
