What does it mean to you to be healthy? What does it mean to be sick? What environmental impacts on health exist in the United States? Think about your own community. Is there pollution? Is there adequate health care in your neighborhood? Is it ethical for anthropologists to try to get their research subjects to stop engaging in a culturally meaningful behavior that has negative health consequences?
