The great Gatsby. THIS IS MY DIPOLMA PLEASE HELP

Writing Goals: Throughout e Great Gatsby reading, we have looked more closely at literary analysis. This includes evaluating six big components of literature.
Below is a list of prompts that all connect to those six pillars in some capacity, but focus in on one particular theme or concept from the book.

write an essay response. Remember, your “why” is analysis and will start to break down, pick apart, and interpret what Fitzgerald did in his book.

Compare and contrast the major female characters in the novel: Daisy, Jordan, and Myrtle. How does each act towards men? What are their motivations/goals/interests/values? How are they treated by men (including the narrator/author)?

EXPECTATIONS:
➔ Focus on ONE of the prompts and what we learn from it (THEME should be in the paper somewhere).
➔ Create a list of talking points that would support your chosen prompt; these will be your body paragraphs and
will include your choice of header styles to help organize your essay.
➔ Use 2-3+ quotes per body paragraph to validate your discussion. This is EVIDENCE.
➔ Discuss and explain! This is your COMMENTARY.
➔ Make sure you also have a strong, engaging introduction: TAG your literature, include a focus statement (thesis),
and context to set up the paper.
➔ Use good sentence variety as well--AWUBS, FANBOYS, short sentences–and personal diction. Think back to
some style choices you embraced with your Me Mentor Text Writing.
➔ Lastly, create a meaningful conclusion that says something new, mimics the intro, or oers one final insight in
the book overall.
