What is Pascal's Law, and what are the three equations you learn under Pascal's Law? Where is this law useful in the real world?
a) Pascal's Law states that the pressure applied to a confined fluid is transmitted undiminished to all portions of the fluid and the walls of its container. The equations are:
i) P1 = P2
ii) F1/A1 = F2/A2
iii) P = rhogh
This law is useful in hydraulic systems, such as car brakes and hydraulic lifts.
