An ecologist wants to estimate the number of woodpeckers in a wood. She catches 40 woodpeckers, tags them and then returns them to the wood. The next day she catches 50 woodpeckers. She finds that 10 of these woodpeckers have tags. Work out an estimate for the total number of woodpeckers in the wood.
