Writing for a resistant reader is similar to a debate in that: The author will present reasons and evidence and use logic to show that these are the stronger side. There is definitely a wrong side to be on. The author is speaking to a hostile audience and must be sure to use strong language and demand that everyone see things their way. It is impossible to present enough information, and you must be sure to add in more of your own opinion than facts. There is always a right answer.
