Choose the value that most closely equals the stub-up length needed for the 1/2-inch EMT in the photo. Keep in mind that if the measurement is being taken to the side of the box, instead of the inside of the connector, it will be necessary to subtract a slight amount (1/16 to1/8 inch) to compensate for the ridge at the bottom of the connector. A temporarily inserted conduit has been installed for a measurement.
