When comparing modus operandi, consider the following:
a. Does this appear to be a well- planned crime or one committed impulsively?
b. If entry to a building or vehicle was involved, was it forcible, or was a key or lock pick used?
c. Did the suspect use other tools? If so, what kind of tools?
d. If theft was involved, what and how much property did the suspect take?
