The General Studies Committee reviews courses every year for relevance and alignment with State University outcomes. Write a proposition statement that justifies the teaching of a course on oceans to West Virginia students. Include in your proposition, the issues related to the ocean which citizens should be aware. Also consider the question: How will changes in the oceans affect a land-locked state like us?
Use the following as a template:
Headline: What is the end-benefit the course is offering, in 1 short sentence. (You can mention the product and/or the customer. This IS an attention grabber.)
A paragraph: with a specific explanation of what the course does/offers, for whom and why is it useful.
Bulleted points (multiple): Listing the key benefits or features of knowing about the oceans.
Include visuals in the proposition: Images communicate much faster than words. (Show the product, the hero shot or an image reinforcing your main message.)
