Joel Slaven needed to find dogs for The 101 Dalmatians Musical. He went to an animal shelter. Most of the 15 dogs in the show came from that shelter. The dogs needed to learn how to be on stage. Then, they needed to learn where and when to move. Slaven trained all the dogs. They went on stage and performed just like actors. Soon, the spotted dogs became stars.
