With regards to the personal auto policy, in the event of a claim or loss, the insured is required to do all of the following EXCEPT

1. Immediately report to an emergency room for medical examination.
2. Notify the insurer as soon as possible with a description of the accident.
3. Protect the insured auto from further damage.
4. Promptly contact the police if the accident was a hit-and-run.
