John graduated college over 20 years ago with a business degree. He worked happily for an insurance brokerage firm, and saved up enough
money by age 33 to take a year and work in Africa for a peace Corps. He worked in a hospital in a poor rural area. He enjoyed the work and was deeply moved by the people and their need for improved health care. He went back to school, received a doctorate in nursing, and returned to Africa to help set up modern hospitals in improvised areas.
