Modeling River Erosion
Part B Continue to moisten the sand in the groove with your water bottle. Once the sand becomes saturated, squeeze enough water so a river flows in the groove. After observing how water flows down your straight river, wipe its path away and create a new river path that bends at least twice. Then slowly squeeze water into this curved river until the water starts to flow down it. What differences did you notice in how the water flowed in the straight river verses the curved river?
