I have always found Einsteins theory of relativity very interesting but I've had trouble wrapping my brain around it. I understand that atomic clocks that are futher away from the earth run faster due to gravity, but wouldn't that be attributed to the effect gravity has on the physical clock and not our perception of it? How does Einsteins theory of general relativity make sense to you? If we had a clock on earth and a clock in a field of extreme gravity, which would run slower? How does it/does it not relate to our perception of time?
