United States' Perspective
Greek Civil War, 1949-The anti-communist Greek Government Army consisted of freedom fighters trying to protect their country from Soviet influence and deserved our support.
Soviet Union's Perspective-The communist Democratic Army of Greece represented what was left of the Greek resistance. They were struggling against the fascists and Nazi allies in the Greek Government Army, and they deserved our support.
