1) As we move towards the topic of food, there is no one right way to eat. This is not about vilifying any diet choices (vegan, paleo, vegetarian, keto, etc.....) Each one has it's issues when we are talking about sustainability. It is more about food choices (where does it come from.) This calculator asks broader questions and makes some assumptions - like how often do you eat meat. If you are eating factory farmed meat that travelled long distances the answer has a different impact than if you eat local, regeneratively raised meat. The same goes for vegetables, there is a difference (footprint wise) between eating a bunch of local, organic kale that you bought at the farmers market and eating conventionally grown tomatoes wrapped in plastic on a styrofoam plate and shipped in from Florida. Keep that in mind as you take this. 2) We all have things we should change, that does not make us bad people. We need to take the time to just notice how our choices impact the bigger picture
