Draw a cross-section of a typical field with hydrocarbon accumulations in a trap
formed by the emplacement of a sah dome. The cross section has to be perpendicular to
strike and has to include two reservoir layers. Assume now that this is the structure that
you had identified on seismic, and plan to drill first an exploration to verify the presence
of oil or gas. Plot the trajectory of this well. Assume now that you have encountered oil
and that you would like to appraise the size of the field with three wells. Plot the
trajectoiy onto the cross-section and label them in the order that you are going to drill
them (E - 1 - 2 - 3). Write underneath the main objectives of each of these appraisal
wells. Also note after each of them i f under a certain condition the entire field
development is stopped.
