You will write a five-paragraph essay defending one of Miyazaki’s films. You will support your claim with three of the following elements: female characters, theme, plot, imagery/animation, relevance to modern society, and historical/mythological references. Paragraph 1: Sentence1-2: introduce the titles of each film with a brief summary of each. Sentence 3: You will need to introduce a counterargument in this paragraph. State how the film you are NOT defending is stronger in one of the above categories. (ex: if your claim is Princess Mononoke is better because of theme, plot, and imagery but Spirited Away has better mythological references, then explain that and shut it down) Sentence 4-5: thesis statement (state the three reasons the film you have chosen is better. These three reasons will be the topics of your three body paragraphs).
