The UN charter prohibits the UN from becoming involved in the internal affairs of member
countries unless there is a humanitarian crisis, such as the case of genocide. Do you agree with
this limitation on the power of the UN? Do you think the UN's rules should be changed to allow it
to intervene in crises that do not qualify as genocide but are still very serious? Give your
