Write an essay based on your outline from Lesson 2. Your essay will be about the same topic: a famous hoax from history. Like the outline, it must include a thesis, main ideas, and evidence from credible sources. In this lesson, however, you will organize your content into paragraphs and add quotes and paraphrases from your sources. When you're done, your essay should be about 900 words, or roughly three double-spaced pages.
Your assignment should include the following elements:
• A thesis that makes a direct statement about the historical hoax you've chosen to explore
• Main ideas that support your thesis
• Evidence from at least three credible sources, including one source representing a different medium from the others
• An introduction and a conclusion paragraph and several body paragraphs
• Quotes and paraphrases from your sources that are cited correctly
