one of the basic differences between eukaryotic and prokaryotic gene expression is multiple choice in the location of transcription process. eukaryotes have to export the mrna to the cytoplasm from nucleus, whereas in prokaryotes such transport is not required. prokaryotes have to cap the mrna. splicing is seen in prokaryotes and not in eukaryotes.
