During the ninth century, The Roman Catholic Church had become very powerful in Northern and Western Europe. After a couple of centuries, people disapproved of its practices. They had a feeling that many church leaders were corrupt and were too focused on worldly pursuits, such as getting rich and political status and power . Even though the Church made some attempts to fix the church during the Middle Ages, people continued to disapprove of it.
