When does pushing begin?
when contractions are 45-60 seconds long and 3-5 minutes apart
when the cervix is fully dilated and the mother feels the urge to push
the cervix is dilated 8 cm for at least 30 minutes
when contractions are one minute long and five minutes apart for at least one hour
