a. Ralph sees the hunters as savages because they have demonstrated a lack of control. Control comes from the super ego; therefore, the hunters are motivated by their id.
b. Ralph is changing his perspective and opinion of the hunters and the rest of the boys. This ahows his ego struggling to access the reality principle.
c. Ralph is trying to convince himself that the killings were an accident, and the boys will stop hunting him. This shows his id trying to reduce the tension (anxiety, panic) from the reality of his situation.
