Chief Complaint: This 52 year-old woman has been complaining of diffuse pelvic pain with urinary bladder spasms since cystoscopy 10 days ago at which time marked cystitis was noted.
Past History: The patient reports episodes of nocturia three to four times a night, urinary frequency, urinary urgency, and epigastric discomfort. She has a history of polyuria, hematuria, and urinary incontinence.
Impression: Urinary incontinence is caused by cystitis and is temporary in nature.
Plan:
Ciprofloxacin 250 mg for 7 days.
Patient instructed to call if symptoms persist.
