After lunch they tripled their distance before stopping for the night. That day they traveled 381 miles. How may miles did they travel before their first stop for gas.? The answer is 68 1/4 miles. What is the correct formula?I tried this one but it didn’t work. 3(58 1/4 - x)=381.
